Marblehead sports roundup, June 22 to June 28

MARBLEHEAD -- Marblehead Youth Baseball (MYB) has registration open for its 74th season, with sign-ups available for the Gatchell Park League (ages 10–12) and the Summer Development League (ages 5–9). The volunteer-led nonprofit, affiliated with Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken Baseball, serves nearly 400 players ages 5–15 each year and plays at Gatchell Playground and Seaside Park.

YOUTH LEAGUES

Marblehead Youth Baseball is accepting registrations for both of its summer programs. The Gatchell Park League is open to players ages 10–12, while the Summer Development League serves younger players ages 5–9. MYB describes itself as a non-profit organization run by more than 100 volunteer coaches, parents, and community members.

Marblehead Boys Youth Lacrosse lists spring registration as open for all age groups from Pre-K through 8th grade, with an early bird discount available for those who registered before December 31. The league's Classic program (1st–8th grade) runs an eight-game season plus a Jamboree Tournament from early April through mid-June. A Select program is offered for players in 5th through 8th grade.
