Marblehead home sale tops out at $1.74 million as trust transfers mark a quiet month
Fifteen properties sold in Marblehead between July 10 and Aug. 8, according to Essex County Registry of Deeds records. Of those, six disclosed a sale price, ranging from $275,000 to $1,740,000, with a median of $835,000. The month's top sale was 53 Gerald Road Lot 12, which sold for $1,740,000 on Aug. 4. Seven of the nine undisclosed-price deeds show the same individual as seller and, as trustee, buyer, a pattern consistent with family or estate-planning transfers rather than open-market sales. No street recorded more than one sale in the period.
